As a Vehicle Mechanic / Diagnostic Technician, you’ll play a key role in returning collision-damaged vehicles safely to manufacturer standards.
Your Responsibilities
You’ll be responsible for:
Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
Removing and refitting engines, gearboxes and drivetrain components.
Repairing steering, suspension and braking systems.
Carrying out wheel alignment and chassis geometry.
Completing ADAS and post-repair diagnostic procedures.
Working across petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles.
Completing quality inspections and road tests.
Following manufacturer repair methods and technical procedures.
Working with colleagues to achieve right-first-time repairs.What We’re Looking For
You’ll ideally have:
Experience as a Vehicle Mechanic, Technician, Diagnostic Technician or Master Technician.
IMI Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills.
Experience with modern diagnostic equipment.
HEV qualification desirable, but not essential.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.Whether you currently work in a franchised dealership, independent garage, fleet workshop or manufacturer service centre, we’d like to hear from you.
