Job Description
Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician seeking a new opportunity in Wakefield? Our client, a reputable automotive dealership, is looking to recruit a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their established team. This role provides a platform for career growth within a well-respected company committed to quality service and employee development.
Benefits:
* Competitive salary up to £40,000 dependent on experience
* Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturdays (08:30 – 12:30)
* Opportunity to work on a wide range of vehicle repair tasks, including complex jobs like timing belts, gearboxes, and clutches
* MOT licence preferred, but not essential, providing additional career progression options
* Supportive team environment with ongoing training and skill enhancement
* Stable, long-term position within a reputable dealership
Duties as a Vehicle Technician:
* Conduct vehicle servicing, repairs, and diagnostics to high standards
* Carry out vehicle inspections and accurately identify faults
* Perform complex repairs such as gearboxes, clutches, and timing belts
* Complete all job documentation accurately and efficiently
* Communicate clearly with customers regarding work carried out and findings
* Maintain high safety standards and adhere to health and safety protocols
* Follow manufacturer guidelines and dealership procedures at all times
Requirements:
* Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician or Level 2 with substantial hands-on experience
* Proven experience within a busy automotive workshop environment
* Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures
* Must hold a clean UK Driving Licence
* MOT licence is desirable but not essential
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
