We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-respected main dealer in Bedford, for a Vehicle Technician. The Vehicle Technician position offers an excellent opportunity to join a reputable dealership that invests in modern equipment and values professional growth. The role involves working within a dynamic, fully equipped workshop, providing high-standard vehicle repairs and maintenance.

Carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles to high standards Conduct diagnostics, identifying faults accurately, and performing effective repairs Complete MOT testing in compliance with industry standards and regulations Ensure all work is completed within manufacturer and dealership repair times Maintain high standards of workmanship, prioritising customer satisfaction Identify additional works or up-selling opportunities where appropriate Complete all relevant paperwork and records accurately Collaborate with colleagues to deliver an excellent customer experience Follow all health, safety, and company procedures and regulationsRequirements of the Vehicle Technician:
Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or an equivalent qualification At least 2 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician within the motor trade Experience within a main dealer environment is highly advantageous Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills MOT Tester qualification is desirable Excellent communication and customer service skills Highly organised with the ability to manage workload efficiently Positive attitude and a team-oriented approach Ability to work independently and as part of a team Full UK Driving LicenceContact Tom Thacker, Automotive Recruitment Specialist at Perfect Placement covering Bedford and Bedfordshire, today to discover more about this fantastic opportunity.
