Venue Manager - Live Events

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and resourceful Venue Manager to oversee operations at a popular entertainment and sports venue in Nottingham . This role is crucial within the Leisure & Sports sector, ensuring the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of the venue for a wide range of events, from concerts to sporting fixtures. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of venue operations, including staff supervision, facility maintenance, safety compliance, and client relations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in venue management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day operations of the venue, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
• Lead, train, and supervise venue staff, including event stewards, security, and technical teams.
• Develop and manage operational budgets, controlling costs and maximizing venue revenue.
• Oversee the scheduling and execution of events, coordinating with event promoters, artists, and sports teams.
• Ensure the highest standards of facility maintenance, cleanliness, and guest services.
• Manage relationships with external contractors, suppliers, and emergency services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in venue management, event management, or a similar operational role.
• Proven ability to manage staff, budgets, and operational logistics in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, security protocols, and licensing requirements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience within the Leisure & Sports or entertainment industry is highly desirable for this Nottingham -based role.
