About the Role

Our client, a major multi-purpose entertainment and sports venue in Leeds , is seeking a highly organized and experienced Venue Operations Manager . This critical role ensures the seamless and safe execution of all events hosted at the venue, from major sporting fixtures to large-scale concerts and conferences. You will lead a dedicated team responsible for front-of-house, security, facilities management, and event logistics, ensuring an exceptional experience for all patrons within the vibrant Leisure & Sports industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage complex operations under pressure and a keen eye for detail in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of venue operations during events, including staffing, security, crowd management, and emergency procedures.
• Develop and implement operational plans, risk assessments, and safety protocols for all types of events.
• Manage relationships with external agencies, including emergency services, local authorities, and contractors.
• Lead, train, and motivate operational teams to deliver high standards of service and safety.
• Manage the venue's facilities, including maintenance, cleaning, and technical requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant licensing, health and safety, and environmental regulations in Leeds .

Requirements

• Extensive experience in venue management, event operations, or a similar role within the entertainment or sports industry.
• Proven ability to manage large teams and complex operational logistics.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and security management in public venues.
• Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Experience with budgeting and financial management for operational departments.
• Familiarity with licensing and regulatory requirements for public venues in the UK .
