Veterinary Surgeon - interest in imaging preferred

Position Overview

An exciting role awaits a passionate Veterinary Surgeon at this vibrant and friendly practice in beautiful Hampshire. The practice is dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care while ensuring a fantastic work‑life balance for its team members. With a salary of up to £50,000 per annum (FTE) depending on experience, this position offers both full‑time and part‑time hours, up to 40 hours per week, with a manageable 1:4 Saturday rota and no out‑of‑hours commitments.

The practice boasts state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic imaging equipment, including digital radiography, dental radiography, a new ultrasound, endoscopy, rhinoscopy, and a fully equipped in‑house laboratory. The practice is Silver Cat Friendly and Dog Friendly Accredited, with separate cat waiting areas and staff holding additional cat‑friendly qualifications.

Join a team with diverse interests in feline internal medicine, general surgery, exotics, and ophthalmology. Benefit from in‑house expertise, including an Advanced Practitioner in Feline Medicine, and colleagues currently pursuing further certifications. The ideal candidate is a team‑oriented Veterinary Surgeon with excellent communication skills and high clinical standards. An interest in diagnostic imaging is desirable, with basic proficiency in abdominal ultrasound essential due to the medical caseload. Experience in cardiac ultrasound is also a plus. The role combines consults and surgery, with some sole charge responsibilities on Saturdays. Confidence in making independent clinical decisions and a growth mindset are key attributes for success in this supportive, progressive practice.
