Virtual Science Educator

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and knowledgeable Virtual Science Educator to contribute to their remote learning initiatives, based out of Cardiff . This position involves designing and delivering engaging science curriculum content for secondary school students through online platforms. You will be instrumental in making science accessible and exciting for learners remotely, fostering a deep understanding of scientific principles and encouraging critical thinking. This is a key role for a dedicated educator passionate about science and committed to the success of online education, offering a fully remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement dynamic online science lesson plans that align with the national curriculum, covering subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
• Conduct engaging virtual laboratory experiments and demonstrations using simulation software and readily available materials.
• Facilitate interactive online discussions, Q&A sessions, and collaborative projects to deepen student engagement.
• Assess student understanding through online quizzes, assignments, and project evaluations, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate effectively with students, parents, and the academic support team.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a postgraduate degree in a relevant science discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
• Demonstrable experience in teaching science at the secondary level, preferably with experience in online or blended learning environments.
• Expertise in creating and delivering virtual scientific demonstrations and experiments.
• Strong digital literacy and proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and video conferencing tools.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and motivational skills tailored for a remote audience.
