Visual Merchandiser - Retail

About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Visual Merchandiser to join their team in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for designing and implementing captivating in-store displays that enhance the customer shopping experience, drive sales, and reflect the brand's aesthetic. This role requires a keen eye for design, an understanding of retail trends, and the ability to translate marketing concepts into visually appealing environments. You will work closely with store management and the visual merchandising team to ensure brand consistency and create impactful presentations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute visually appealing product displays and store layouts according to brand guidelines.
• Create compelling window displays and in-store signage to attract customers and highlight promotions.
• Ensure all visual merchandising elements are consistently maintained, clean, and well-presented.
• Collaborate with the retail team to understand sales performance and adjust merchandising strategies accordingly.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest visual merchandising trends and competitor activities.
• Manage and maintain visual merchandising materials and equipment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Visual Merchandiser or in a similar creative retail role.
• Strong artistic and design skills, with a portfolio showcasing previous work.
• Excellent understanding of color theory, layout, and spatial design.
• Ability to interpret brand guidelines and translate them into effective displays.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
• Proficiency with design software is a plus.
