Visual Merchandiser - Retail

About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Visual Merchandiser to join their dynamic retail team in Sunderland . This role is crucial in shaping the in-store customer experience, ensuring that our client's brand image and product offerings are presented attractively and effectively. You will be responsible for creating visually appealing displays that drive customer engagement and sales. This position requires a hands-on approach, working directly within store environments in and around the Tyne and Wear area to implement merchandising strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement captivating visual merchandising strategies for store layouts, window displays, and in-store promotions.
• Ensure product displays are attractive, on-brand, and maximize sales potential.
• Collaborate with store managers and retail teams to maintain high visual standards.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest retail trends and competitor visual merchandising techniques.
• Manage and maintain visual merchandising stock and props, ensuring they are in excellent condition.
• Provide feedback and recommendations to the merchandising and marketing teams on display effectiveness.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Visual Merchandiser or in a similar retail display role.
• Strong artistic flair and a good eye for colour, layout, and visual detail.
• Knowledge of current retail trends and visual merchandising best practices.
• Ability to interpret brand guidelines and translate them into compelling visual presentations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with store teams.
