Visual Merchandiser - Retail

About the Role

Our client is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Visual Merchandiser to join their team in Edinburgh . You will be responsible for creating compelling in-store displays and merchandising strategies that attract customers, enhance the brand image, and drive sales. This role requires a strong eye for aesthetics, an understanding of retail trends, and the ability to translate brand guidelines into captivating visual presentations. You will work closely with store management and marketing teams to ensure cohesive and impactful visual merchandising across all store formats, contributing significantly to the customer experience in a key Scottish capital location.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement creative and brand-aligned visual merchandising displays for windows, store interiors, and promotional areas.
• Ensure all merchandise is presented attractively, logically, and in line with seasonal campaigns and brand standards.
• Collaborate with store teams to maintain high standards of visual presentation on the shop floor on a daily basis.
• Stay informed about current retail trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform merchandising decisions.
• Manage and maintain visual merchandising props, fixtures, and display materials.
• Provide guidance and training to store staff on visual merchandising best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Visual Merchandiser or in a similar role within the retail sector.
• Strong portfolio showcasing creative display design and execution skills.
• Excellent understanding of color theory, spatial design, and typography.
• Ability to interpret brand guidelines and translate them into effective visual strategies.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
• Flexibility to travel to different store locations as needed and work varied hours, potentially including evenings and weekends, within the Edinburgh area.
