Visual Merchandiser

About the Role

Our client seeks a creative and detail-oriented Visual Merchandiser to enhance the in-store presentation and brand image for their retail locations in and around Sunderland . You will be responsible for designing and implementing visually appealing displays that attract customers and drive sales. This role involves interpreting brand guidelines, creating compelling product stories through visual means, and ensuring consistency across all touchpoints in Sunderland . The ideal candidate will have a strong aesthetic sense and a deep understanding of retail merchandising principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute creative and effective visual merchandising displays in line with brand guidelines and seasonal campaigns.
• Plan and arrange store layouts, window displays, and in-store promotions to maximize customer appeal.
• Collaborate with the retail management team to understand sales objectives and translate them into visual strategies.
• Source and manage props, fixtures, and signage to support merchandising efforts.
• Conduct regular store visits in the Sunderland area to assess presentation standards and provide feedback.
• Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to ensure innovative and engaging displays.

Requirements

• Proven experience in visual merchandising within the retail sector.
• Strong artistic and creative flair, with an excellent eye for detail and color theory.
• Ability to interpret brand aesthetics and translate them into compelling visual narratives.
• Proficiency in using store planning software or design tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with store teams.
