About the Role

Our client, a prominent charity organisation dedicated to serving the community, is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Volunteer Coordinator to join their team in Cardiff . This vital role focuses on recruiting, training, and supporting a diverse pool of volunteers who are essential to delivering the organisation's services across Wales . You will be the primary point of contact for volunteers, ensuring they feel valued, motivated, and equipped to contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective strategies for recruiting volunteers from diverse backgrounds across Cardiff and surrounding areas.
• Organise and deliver comprehensive induction and ongoing training programs for all volunteers.
• Provide day-to-day support, guidance, and motivation to volunteers, addressing any queries or concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate volunteer records, including recruitment, attendance, and feedback, using dedicated database systems.
• Organise volunteer appreciation events and initiatives to recognise their invaluable contributions to the charity .

Requirements

• Previous experience in volunteer management , coordination, or a related role, preferably in the non-profit sector.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with individuals from all walks of life.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Proficiency in using volunteer management software or databases.
• A compassionate and empathetic approach, with a genuine passion for supporting volunteer efforts and the charitable cause.
