About the Role

Our client, a leading national charity, is looking for an experienced and passionate Volunteer Manager to lead their volunteer program in Milton Keynes . This role is critical for recruiting, training, and supporting the dedicated individuals who contribute countless hours to our client's mission. You will play a key part in ensuring our volunteers feel valued, motivated, and equipped to carry out their roles effectively, thereby enhancing the overall impact of the organization. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to manage and grow the volunteer base across the Milton Keynes region and beyond, from the comfort of your own home.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of volunteers.
• Create and deliver engaging training programs for volunteers covering various roles and responsibilities.
• Provide ongoing support, supervision, and recognition to the volunteer team.
• Manage volunteer schedules, placements, and communication channels effectively.
• Monitor volunteer satisfaction and implement improvements to the volunteer experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience in volunteer management, human resources, or a related field.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage diverse groups of people.
• Proficiency in using volunteer management software and digital communication tools.
