Main Responsibilities of the Waking Night Support Worker:
- Providing overnight care and welfare checks in line with individual care and risk management plans.
- Encouraging appropriate night-time routines and managing client behaviour in line with policy.
- Preparing rooms, documentation, and client packs for admissions and ensuring discharge paperwork is completed accurately.
- Supporting safe medication management, including handovers, counts, and reporting discrepancies.
- Maintaining clear, accurate records and completing handovers for the day team.
- Ensuring communal and client areas are clean, safe, and ready for the following day.
- Carrying out security and health & safety checks, escalating concerns where required.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues and working collaboratively to support continuity of care.
