About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Warehouse Manager to lead their facility in Nottingham . This senior role involves overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including managing staff, optimizing processes, ensuring safety compliance, and driving efficiency. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that enhance productivity, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness in the warehouse. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of logistics, and a commitment to fostering a positive and high-performing team environment, crucial for a key player in regional distribution.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and direct all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and dispatch.
Develop and implement operational plans to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff and supervisors to achieve performance targets.
Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations within the warehouse.
Manage inventory accuracy, implementing control measures to minimize discrepancies.
Optimize warehouse layout and processes for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Liaise with other departments, such as procurement and transport, to ensure seamless supply chain operations.

Requirements

Significant experience in a warehouse management role, with a proven track record of success.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop staff.
In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management principles.
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and relevant technologies.
Excellent understanding of health and safety best practices in a warehouse setting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
