About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Operations Manager to lead their busy distribution centre in Oxford . This vital role involves overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, dispatch, goods receipt, and team leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety within the facility, driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet operational targets. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
• Ensure accurate and efficient inventory management, conducting regular stock takes and reconciliations.
• Develop and implement operational procedures to optimise workflow and productivity.
• Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to achieve performance goals.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and security within the warehouse environment.
• Monitor operational costs and implement measures for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse management or a senior supervisory role within logistics.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, WMS systems, and warehouse best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
• Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to upholding health and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in relevant software systems and computer literacy.
