Warehouse Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive Warehouse Operations Manager to lead their warehousing and distribution facility in Liverpool . This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods, accurate inventory management, and timely fulfillment of orders. You will be responsible for managing a team, optimizing warehouse processes, and maintaining high standards of operational excellence. This is a hands-on leadership position offering significant responsibility and the chance to make a tangible impact on the company's supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily operations within the warehouse, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping.
• Manage and motivate a team of warehouse staff, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety standards.
• Implement and maintain efficient warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
• Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, on-time shipments, and inventory turnover.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in warehouse management , with a proven track record of operational improvement.
• Strong understanding of WMS, inventory control, and material handling equipment.
• Experience in managing teams and fostering a safe working environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with lean warehousing principles is advantageous.
