About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of their logistics and warehousing operations in Leicester . You will be responsible for ensuring efficient and cost-effective management of inventory, staff, and operational processes to meet company objectives and customer demands. This pivotal role requires a leader who can drive continuous improvement, foster a safe working environment, and maintain high standards of productivity and accuracy within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing, inventory control , order fulfilment, and dispatch.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse strategies and procedures to optimize workflow and reduce operational costs.
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and performance targets.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock checks to minimize discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of warehouse operations with broader business goals.
- Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of warehouse equipment and facilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar senior logistics role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize warehouse processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a warehouse environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
