Warehouse Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and results-oriented Warehouse Operations Manager to lead their facility in Sunderland . This role is responsible for the efficient and safe management of all warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order picking, and dispatch. You will play a key role in optimizing workflow, managing inventory accuracy, and leading a team to achieve operational targets. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow optimization.
• Ensure accurate inventory management and control, implementing robust tracking systems.
• Oversee the efficient processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Implement and enforce health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
• Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve high levels of productivity and performance.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, and operational costs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar operational logistics role.
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a warehouse team.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
• Experience in the Sunderland area is an advantage.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
