About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Operations Manager to lead their facility in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role offers a hybrid work model, combining essential on-site leadership with flexibility. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment. This is a critical position requiring strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of warehouse logistics, contributing to the overall success of the company's distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee inventory control, ensuring accuracy and minimizing discrepancies through regular audits.
• Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Implement and enforce strict health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
• Coordinate with transportation partners to ensure timely and cost-effective inbound and outbound shipments.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage orders effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Operations Manager or similar supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory management, and logistics operations.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to balance on-site operational demands with remote administrative tasks effectively.
