Warehouse Operations Supervisor - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and proactive Warehouse Operations Supervisor to manage the daily operations of their FMCG distribution centre in Stoke-on-Trent . This hands-on role requires strong leadership skills to oversee a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and inventory accuracy within the warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse management, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to operational excellence in a fast-paced FMCG setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock takes, and ensure the accuracy of warehouse management systems.
• Oversee the safe and efficient loading and unloading of goods, maintaining high standards of housekeeping and organization.
• Implement and enforce health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Train and develop warehouse operatives, providing coaching and performance feedback.
• Monitor operational KPIs and report on performance, identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Warehouse Supervisor or team lead role, ideally within the FMCG sector.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
