Warehouse Operations Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and organized Warehouse Operations Supervisor to join their team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the warehouse, overseeing daily operations, and leading a team of warehouse staff. You will play a key part in maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring timely order fulfillment, and upholding safety standards within the facility. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, order picking, packing, and shipping.
• Manage and motivate warehouse staff, providing clear direction, training, and performance feedback.
• Ensure accurate inventory counts and implement stocktaking procedures to maintain data integrity.
• Uphold strict health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment, conducting regular safety checks.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure efficient workflow and timely dispatch of goods.
• Operate and maintain warehouse equipment safely and effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
• Solid understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations relevant to warehouse operations.
• Flexibility to work a hybrid schedule , balancing on-site supervision with off-site responsibilities.
