Warehouse Operative / Goods In Inspector – FLT Required

Position 1 Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Goods In Warehouse Operative to join a busy manufacturing site near Diss.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional with a valid Forklift Truck Licence who is looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday position.

The Role

As a Goods In Warehouse Operative, your responsibilities will include:

• Following Purchasing, Goods Inwards and company procedures

• Safely unloading deliveries using a forklift truck and manual handling equipment

• Checking deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes

• Inspecting incoming goods for quantity and quality

• Assisting with packing and shipping parts for subcontract operations

• Organising and prioritising workload to meet deadlines

• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised warehouse environment

• Working closely with colleagues to ensure goods are received and processed efficiently

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a Goods Inwards, Warehouse or Yard environment

• A valid Forklift Truck Licence — essential

• Good attention to detail when checking deliveries and documentation

• The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Good organisational and communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams

• A reliable and flexible approach to work

• A strong commitment to health and safety
