Warehouse Operative - Night Shift

About the Role

Our client is seeking reliable and diligent Warehouse Operatives to join their busy night shift team in Sunderland . This role is fundamental to the efficient functioning of our client's distribution centre, involving the accurate picking, packing, and dispatching of goods. You will be working as part of a team to meet targets and maintain high standards of organisation and safety within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to contributing to a productive and safe working environment during night operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specified requirements.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient handling of goods.
• Organise stock within the warehouse, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts (if certified).
• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Contribute to team efforts to meet daily operational targets and deadlines.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions precisely.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in picking and packing.
• Reliability and punctuality, especially for night shift commitments in Sunderland .
