Warehouse Operative - Night Shift

About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable and diligent Warehouse Operative to join their night shift team in Norwich . This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our distribution center, focusing on receiving, storing, and dispatching goods efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for maintaining the warehouse environment, handling inventory, and ensuring that all operational targets are met during the overnight period. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, possess a strong work ethic, and be comfortable working in a structured, team-oriented night shift environment within the Norwich area.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and accurately check incoming goods against delivery notes.
• Sort and store inventory in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper stock rotation.
• Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently for dispatch.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet trucks, safely and competently.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment in line with company standards.
• Participate in regular stock takes and inventory counts as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and data.
• Reliability and punctuality are crucial for night shift operations.
