Warehouse Operative (Nights)

About the Role

Our client is recruiting motivated Warehouse Operatives to work the night shift at their facility in Leeds . This role is essential for ensuring that orders are processed accurately and efficiently outside of standard business hours. You will be involved in various aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving goods, picking and packing orders, and preparing shipments for timely departure. This is a hands-on role perfect for individuals who are reliable, hardworking, and comfortable working night shifts in a dynamic warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and accurately record incoming stock, verifying quantities against orders.
• Pick and pack customer orders with high accuracy and efficiency using scanning equipment.
• Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring correct labeling and staging for collection.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse.
• Operate warehouse machinery such as pallet trucks and forklifts (if trained and certified).
• Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution centre is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively during night shifts (e.g., 10 PM to 6 AM).
• Physically fit and able to perform tasks requiring manual handling and standing for extended periods.
• Good understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
