Warehouse Operative

About the Role

Our client is looking for reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to join their busy distribution center in Southampton . This hands-on role involves various tasks essential to the smooth operation of the warehouse, including receiving goods, picking and packing orders, and dispatching shipments. You will be part of a dynamic team committed to efficiency and accuracy, ensuring that products reach customers promptly and in excellent condition. The successful candidate will be physically fit, able to work at a good pace, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and process incoming stock accurately.
• Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications and company standards.
• Load and dispatch outgoing shipments efficiently.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts (training provided if needed).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Assist with inventory checks and stocktaking as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is beneficial but not essential.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Reliable and punctual with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Basic understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
