Warehouse Operative

About the Role

Our client is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Operatives to join their busy distribution centre in Manchester . You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including picking and packing orders, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. This role is crucial to the efficient operation of the warehouse, ensuring that products are handled with care and dispatched accurately and on time. The successful candidates will be physically fit, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a dynamic team environment, playing an essential role in the company's supply chain network.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently according to pick lists.
• Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles and onto shelves.
• Conduct inventory checks and assist with stocktaking as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse floor and storage areas.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, if trained and certified.
• Report any damages, discrepancies, or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar manual handling role is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking and packing.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures within a warehouse setting.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
