Warehouse Operative

About the Role

Our client is looking for diligent and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to join their busy facility in Sunderland . In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods accurately and efficiently. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the smooth operation of the warehouse, ensuring that all products are handled with care and that orders are fulfilled correctly and on time. Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming goods, check for damages, and accurately record stock.
• Pick and pack orders according to order specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts (if certified) safely.
• Organize and maintain warehouse stock in designated locations, ensuring tidiness and accessibility.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring correct items and quantities are handled.
• Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures in the warehouse environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately, with a strong focus on detail.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move items as required by the role.
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks.
• Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to meeting performance targets.
• Basic understanding of health and safety in a warehouse setting.
