Warehouse Operative – Picking & Packing
Location: Luton, LU3 Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Contract: Full-time permanent contract after 12 weeks, subject to performance
We are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a busy and well-established company based in the LU3 area of Luton.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced warehouse candidates looking for a long-term role with the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
The Role
You will be working within a busy warehouse environment, carrying out picking and packing duties involving chilled food products.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Picking orders accurately and efficiently
- Packing products ready for dispatch
- Checking quantities and product details
- Following warehouse procedures and health & safety requirements
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
- Working as part of a team to meet daily targets
- Working within a chilled environment
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Strong previous picking and packing experience
- Previous warehouse experience
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work at pace and meet targets
- A reliable and hardworking attitude
- Good attendance and timekeeping
- A proven stable employment history and good longevity in previous roles
- The ability and willingness to work in a chilled environment
- A genuine interest in securing a long-term position
