About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join their dynamic team in Sunderland . This hands-on role is critical for the day-to-day functioning of the warehouse, involving the accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of goods, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You will contribute to the efficient flow of materials and products through the facility, ensuring that orders are processed accurately and on time, supporting the broader logistics network and upholding high standards of operational performance within the Tyne and Wear area.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and pack orders according to specified requirements.
• Receive and process incoming stock and materials, ensuring correct quantities and quality.
• Organize and manage warehouse stock, ensuring efficient storage and accessibility.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet trucks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment within the Sunderland warehouse.
• Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative or in a similar manual handling role is advantageous.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of warehouse safety procedures .
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as required by the role.
• Team player with good communication skills.
