Warehouse Operative

About the Role

Our client is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Operatives to join their busy facility in Southampton . In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for a variety of essential warehouse tasks, including receiving goods, picking and packing orders accurately, and preparing them for dispatch. You will play a vital part in the smooth running of the warehouse, ensuring that operations are carried out safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and store incoming goods, verifying quantities and quality.
• Pick and pack orders accurately according to customer requirements and dispatch notes.
• Load outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles, ensuring items are secure and correctly labelled.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the warehouse.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts (if certified).
• Report any stock discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment is advantageous.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking and packing.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.
• Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
