Warehouse Operative

About the Role

Our client is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Operatives to join their busy distribution centre in Sunderland . You will be responsible for a variety of tasks crucial to the efficient operation of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. This role requires physical stamina and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and maintain high operational standards. Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and process incoming stock, checking for damages and discrepancies.
• Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently according to order specifications.
• Organize and maintain stock within the warehouse, ensuring clear and safe storage.
• Load outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles, ensuring correct items and quantities.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and potentially forklifts (training provided where applicable).
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Good understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
