Warehouse Supervisor Required

Hours: 40 Hours per Week Monday to Friday + occasional Saturday mornings
Pay: 40 x £14.59 = £583.60pw (£30,347pa)

The Role

We are looking for ahands‑on Warehouse Supervisor / Traffic Clerk to support the day‑to‑day running of our Basildon operation.

This is adual operational role combining warehouse supervision with traffic coordination. You will lead a small deckworker team while ensuring drivers are effectively briefed, routes are communicated, and outbound operations run safely, efficiently, and on time.

This role suits someone who isorganised, proactive, and confident managing both people and logistics in a fast‑paced transport environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate theDeckworker team to ensure efficient loading and outbound flow
• Ensure goods arereceived, stored, and dispatched accurately and within deadlines
• Brief drivers onroutes, loads, and delivery schedules , and conduct debriefs
• Monitor operations usinginternal systems to maintain control and communication
• Maintainaccurate stock control and inventory tracking
• Carry outquality assurance checks , reporting damage or discrepancies
• Escalate operational issues promptly to management for resolution
• Liaise with customers regarding deliveries and service updates
• Maintain aclean, safe, and organised warehouse environment
• Report anyequipment or vehicle defects immediately
• Conductoperational reviews and audits , identifying improvements
• Producewarehouse and deck performance metrics where required
• Work closely with drivers and operational teams toreduce risk and improve service delivery

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience inwarehouse supervision, logistics, or traffic office roles
• Strongorganisation and communication skills
• Ability tolead from the front with a hands‑on approach
• Experience working in atransport / logistics environment (preferred)
• Good understanding ofhealth & safety and operational standards
• Confidence usingIT systems for tracking and reporting
