Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead a team within their facility in Sheffield . You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a specific section of the warehouse, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and safety standards are met. This role involves supervising warehouse staff, managing inventory tasks, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the distribution process. You will play a key role in training and developing your team, fostering a positive and productive work atmosphere, and ensuring that operational targets are consistently achieved in a demanding logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse staff, including pickers, packers, and forklift operators.
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching goods.
• Monitor inventory levels and participate in regular stock takes.
• Implement and enforce health and safety procedures within the warehouse.
• Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to existing staff.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to improve operational processes.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment is a plus.
