About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to join their operational team in Manchester . This role is crucial for ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. You will supervise a team of warehouse associates, provide training, and ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a thorough understanding of warehouse best practices to maintain smooth and productive operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping processes.
• Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance targets and maintain high standards of work.
• Ensure all warehouse activities are conducted in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and assist in resolving discrepancies to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse functions.
• Collaborate with management to identify areas for operational improvement and cost reduction.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within a warehouse environment.
• Thorough understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory control, shipping, and receiving.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and productive work atmosphere.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards within a warehouse setting.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
