Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead a team in their dynamic distribution facility located in Portsmouth . This role requires strong leadership to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including managing staff, overseeing receiving and dispatch, and maintaining a safe working environment. You will play a key role in optimizing warehouse efficiency and accuracy, contributing to the overall success of the logistics operations in Hampshire . The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse supervision and a commitment to team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance.
• Manage, train, and motivate warehouse staff to ensure high performance and productivity.
• Ensure the accuracy of inventory records and implement procedures to maintain stock integrity.
• Enforce safety and security procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
• Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for maximum efficiency.
• Coordinate with logistics and transport teams to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within a warehouse environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and safety regulations.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and standard office software.
