Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead their distribution centre operations in Glasgow, Scotland . You will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse activities, including receiving, warehousing, dispatching, and maintaining inventory accuracy. Your leadership will ensure a safe, efficient, and productive working environment, directly contributing to the timely fulfilment of orders and the overall success of the logistics chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure efficient and accurate receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
• Maintain high standards of warehouse safety and security, enforcing all company policies and procedures.
• Manage inventory levels and conduct regular stock takes to ensure accuracy.
• Operate and oversee the use of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet trucks.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics principles.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a warehouse setting.
• Ability to problem-solve and make quick, effective decisions.
