Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead a team within their busy distribution facility in Liverpool . You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a specific warehouse section, ensuring productivity targets are met, maintaining high standards of safety, and supporting the development of your team. This is a hands-on supervisory role integral to the smooth functioning of the warehouse, contributing to efficient order fulfilment and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse operatives, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching, are carried out efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety policies and procedures.
• Train and mentor new and existing team members, providing guidance and support.
• Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management tasks to ensure accuracy.
• Address operational issues and implement solutions promptly to minimise disruption.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety procedures, and inventory control.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is an advantage.
