Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations and lead a team of warehouse operatives in Reading . This role is crucial for ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining safety standards, and achieving operational targets. You will be responsible for guiding your team, managing stock flow, and contributing to a productive and positive working environment. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure the accurate and efficient execution of receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety within the warehouse, conducting regular checks and enforcing policies.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in cycle counts and stocktaking activities.
• Train and mentor new team members, providing guidance and support.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to identify and implement process improvements.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leader role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory management and logistics.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a warehouse environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
