Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee operations at their facility in Wolverhampton . This hands-on leadership role involves managing a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods, and maintaining high standards of operational performance. You will play a crucial part in managing daily workflows, optimizing space utilization, and contributing to the overall success of the warehouse operations through effective supervision and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of warehouse staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping, are conducted efficiently and safely.
• Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and the use of equipment.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and by resolving discrepancies.
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to identify areas for operational improvement and implement solutions.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory role or a senior warehouse operative position.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory management and logistics.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
• Proven ability to motivate and manage a team to achieve performance targets.
