Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to support the management team in their Wolverhampton facility. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of a specific section of the warehouse, leading a team of operatives, and ensuring targets for productivity, accuracy, and safety are met. You will play a key role in maintaining operational standards, training staff, and contributing to a positive and efficient working atmosphere within the warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the work of warehouse operatives, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Monitor team performance against targets for picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations and company policies within the designated area.
• Assist in training new team members and provide ongoing coaching and support.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with stocktaking activities.
• Report on team productivity, operational issues, and any safety concerns to the Warehouse Manager.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a warehouse or logistics setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff.
• Good understanding of warehouse processes, including inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
