Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee operations at their facility in Leeds . You will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the warehouse team, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of goods, and maintaining a safe working environment. This hands-on role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of warehouse procedures. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to implement operational improvements and ensure that all targets for productivity and accuracy are met consistently, contributing to the smooth functioning of the company's distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and company policies within the warehouse environment.
• Monitor inventory levels and accuracy, conducting regular stock takes and resolving discrepancies.
• Train and mentor new and existing warehouse personnel on best practices and operational procedures.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring all machinery is well-maintained.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to identify and implement process improvements.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and shipping procedures.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations applicable to warehouse operations.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other relevant warehouse machinery (certification may be required).
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
