About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and proactive Warehouse Team Lead to join their busy facility in Bristol . This role involves overseeing the daily operations of a specific warehouse team, ensuring efficient execution of tasks related to receiving, storing, and dispatching goods. You will provide guidance and support to team members, maintain a safe working environment, and contribute to achieving operational targets. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with prior warehouse experience and developing leadership skills to take on more responsibility and make a significant impact within a thriving logistics operation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of warehouse operatives, assigning tasks and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
Ensure all warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and shipping, are conducted efficiently and according to procedure.
Maintain high standards of health and safety within the team's work area, conducting regular safety checks.
Monitor team performance and provide coaching, training, and feedback to team members.
Assist with inventory management tasks, ensuring accuracy of stock levels and proper storage of goods.
Communicate effectively with the Warehouse Supervisor and other departments regarding team activities and operational needs.

Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, with a good understanding of warehouse operations.
Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise a small team.
Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety procedures.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
A commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
