About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated and proactive Warehouse Team Lead to join their busy facility in Bristol . This role involves overseeing the daily operations of a specific warehouse team, ensuring efficient execution of tasks related to receiving, storing, and dispatching goods. You will provide guidance and support to team members, maintain a safe working environment, and contribute to achieving operational targets. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of warehouse operatives, assigning tasks and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time.
- Ensure all warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and shipping, are conducted efficiently and according to procedure.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety within the team's work area, conducting regular safety checks.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching, training, and feedback to team members.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, ensuring accuracy of stock levels and proper storage of goods.
- Communicate effectively with the Warehouse Supervisor and other departments regarding team activities and operational needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, with a good understanding of warehouse operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise a small team.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
