Warehouse Team Leader

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join their team in Portsmouth . This role involves supervising a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring efficient operation of daily warehouse activities, and maintaining high standards of productivity and safety. You will be responsible for guiding your team, coordinating workloads, and ensuring that all tasks related to receiving, storing, and dispatching goods are completed accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to achieve daily targets.
• Oversee the efficient running of specific warehouse functions, such as goods-in, dispatch, or order picking.
• Ensure all warehouse operations are carried out safely and in compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations.
• Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and address any performance issues promptly.
• Assist with stock management, ensuring accuracy and timely replenishment.
• Maintain clear communication channels within the team and with warehouse management.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a warehouse or logistics setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory control and dispatch processes.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Awareness of health and safety best practices in a warehouse environment.
