About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join their facility in Derby . In this role, you will lead a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring the efficient and accurate execution of daily warehouse tasks. You will be responsible for overseeing operations, guiding your team, maintaining productivity, and upholding high standards of safety and quality. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring excellent communication and organizational skills. You will play a key role in driving performance, fostering a positive team environment, and contributing to the overall success of the distribution center, ensuring seamless operations and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to achieve daily targets.
• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and dispatching.
• Ensure that all warehouse activities are conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Provide training and guidance to team members, fostering their development.
• Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback.
• Assist in inventory management and ensure accuracy of stock levels.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment, with at least some supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and procedures.
