Warehouse Team Leader

About the Role

Our client is looking for an energetic and capable Warehouse Team Leader to guide a team of operatives in their Liverpool facility. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a specific warehouse section, ensuring targets are met, and standards of safety and productivity are maintained. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a solid understanding of warehouse processes. You will be responsible for motivating your team, resolving operational issues, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of warehouse operatives, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure that all warehouse activities, including picking, packing, and dispatch, are carried out efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations and reporting any hazards.
• Monitor team productivity, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions.
• Provide training and guidance to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
• Assist with inventory management and stock counts as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment, with some experience in a supervisory or team leader capacity.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations, safety procedures, and inventory control.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet performance targets.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks.
