About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Water Resources Civil Engineer to join their specialist team in Nottingham . This role focuses on the planning, design, and management of water-related infrastructure, including flood defence systems, drainage networks, and water supply schemes. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the sustainable management of water resources and mitigating risks associated with water, contributing to resilient communities and environments. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement flood risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Develop plans for surface water drainage systems, sewer networks, and water treatment facilities.
• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modeling to support infrastructure design.
• Collaborate with environmental scientists, regulatory bodies, and construction teams on water resource projects.
• Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and cost estimates for water infrastructure schemes.
• Ensure designs comply with environmental regulations and sustainable water management practices in Nottingham .

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources.
• Proven experience in the design and analysis of water-related infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in hydrological and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, InfoWorks WS Pro).
• Strong understanding of flood risk management, drainage principles, and water quality standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a project team and communicate technical information clearly.
