The Opportunity

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with an established engineering business based in Chesterfield , who are looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their growing team.

This is a varied role involving both workshop fabrication and site-based work , so the successful candidate must be comfortable working away from the workshop when required.

The Role

As a Welder / Fabricator, your responsibilities will include:

• Fabricating and welding components and structures to drawing and specification

• Carrying out MIG, TIG and MMA/Stick welding

• Working to recognised welding coding standards

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

• Setting up welding equipment and selecting appropriate welding processes

• Carrying out fabrication, fitting and finishing work

• Working on site when required

• Ensuring all work meets required quality and safety standards

• Inspecting finished work and identifying any defects

• Working safely in both workshop and site environments

• Supporting other fabrication and engineering activities as required

Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator

• Strong experience with MIG, TIG and Stick/MMA welding

• Must have experience working to welding coding standards

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

• Previous site-based welding/fabrication experience is essential

• Good understanding of fabrication techniques and welding processes

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious approach
