Fabricator / Welder / Pipe Fitter Commutable from: Kettering, Corby, Peterborough, Northampton, Thrapston Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £16.00 – £19.00 per hour, depending on experience

The Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Fabricator / Welder / Pipe Fitter to join their established team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering competitive pay, overtime opportunities and the chance to develop your career within a growing and supportive company. The successful candidate will have proven experience in fabrication and pipe fitting, with strong TIG and/or MIG welding skills and the ability to work confidently from engineering drawings.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am – 2:30pm
• Flexibility is required for occasional extended hours and overnight stays.
• Overnight allowance: £25 per night
• On-call rota: Approximately once every 8 weeks, with an additional £100 payment

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install a variety of pipework systems.
• Carry out high-quality TIG and/or MIG welding.
• Complete off-site installation and fitting work using a company vehicle.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
• Ensure all work is completed to the required quality and health & safety standards.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
• Be flexible regarding additional hours and occasional overnight travel.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Fabricator, Pipe Fitter or Welder.
• Essential experience in TIG and/or MIG welding.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to working hours and overnight travel.
• Full UK driving licence – essential for operating the company vehicle.
